What is the proudest moment in your career journey?
My proudest moments continue to involve building a team from the ground up and watching them grow.
Your biggest accomplishment in our industry?
My biggest accomplishment in the industry is the relationships I’ve made with our dealer partners which have opened doors to collaboration, innovation and pushing boundaries as the world evolves quickly around us. Being part of expanding possibilities of the workspace to the outdoors with a human-centered design approach has been rewarding. The partnership with my Steelcase counterparts and Steelcase dealers is to thank for that.
What advice would you give to women in the workplace?
Don’t think with boxes. Take every task, every opportunity, large or small, inside or outside your role to learn. What may seem menial and small ends up adding up to a career rich with unique experience and perspective. Don’t feel guilty about taking completely different directions at times in your career – it only expands your toolbox and your skill set to push you into completely unexpected territories. A job title isn’t a box….do well in the role, but think outside of it as well.
