Throughout the Series 1 Chair’s life cycle, carbon emissions are carefully measured, calculated, and verified by a trusted third party. All emissions are 100% offset through various sustainability efforts, such as forest management, renewable energy initiatives, cleaner cooking programs, and electric transportation solutions. For Steelcase, achieving carbon neutrality with the Series 1 is just the beginning. Steelcase plans to expand its carbon-neutral portfolio by conducting additional life cycle assessments on more of its products. They are consistently enhancing their product development process to reduce their impact on climate change, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
